On the occasion of World Environment Day, JIS College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (JISCOVAS), Mogra, organised a meaningful Tree Plantation Programme at the Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC) to promote environmental sustainability and ecological awareness among students, faculty and staff members. The programme was led by the Principal of JISCOVAS, who, along with the faculty members, staff, and students, actively participated in planting saplings within the Veterinary Clinical Complex premises. The event reflected the institution's commitment to environmental stewardship and to create a green and clean campus. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal emphasised that environmental conservation is a collective responsibility and that educational institutions must play a proactive role in fostering sustainable practices. Faculty members highlighted the close relationship between environmental health, animal health, and human well-being. The students enthusiastically participated in planting and watering saplings, demonstrating their commitment towards protecting the environment for future generations. The plantation drive aimed to enhance green cover, improve local biodiversity, and create awareness about the importance of trees in combating climate change, reducing pollution, conserving soil and water resources, and maintaining ecological balance. As part of the celebration, all participants took an Environmental Pledge, affirming their dedication in preserving natural resources, reducing environmental degradation, and promoting a Green Campus.
