Introduction

The Livestock Farm Complex serves as the instructional and practical training facility for undergraduate veterinary education in livestock production and farm management.

Academic Mandate

The complex provides practical exposure in:

  • Dairy and Livestock Management
  • Poultry and Piggery Management
  • Fodder Production and Farm Operations
  • Artificial Insemination and Breeding Practices
  • Livestock Handling and Management

The complex supports experiential learning and hands-on training as prescribed under MSVE Regulations.

Infrastructure and Facilities

Facilities include:

  • Model Cattle, Buffalo, Sheep, Goat, Pig, Rabbit, Equine and Poultry Units
  • Hatchery and Brooder Units
  • Milking and Dairy Equipment
  • Fodder Demonstration Fields and Museum
  • Farm Machinery and Implements
  • AI and Livestock Handling Equipment

Training and Extension Activities

Students are provided practical exposure through farm training, field visits, and interaction with commercial livestock production systems.
