Introduction

The Department of Veterinary Anatomy and Histology is one of the core basic science departments of JIS College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (JISCOVAS). The department is committed to imparting quality undergraduate veterinary education as prescribed under the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) – MSVE Regulations.

Academic Mandate

The department provides foundational teaching in:

  • Veterinary Gross Anatomy
  • Histology and Embryology
  • Comparative Anatomy
  • Applied and Clinical Anatomy
  • Neuroanatomy and Developmental Anatomy

The department focuses on competency-based practical teaching, anatomical specimen demonstration, osteology, and museum-based learning for undergraduate students.
